Once the student is through this exam, and completes his M.D. in 4 years , he needs to take United States Medical Licensing Examination leading to MD or DO. The first step includes a general knowledge test on different subjects related to medicine like microbiology, pathology, anatomy, physiology etc. The next step is the Clinical Knowledge, where your knowledge will be tested for gynecology, pediatrics, surgery etc. The last and the third step is the Clinical Skills test where you need to interact with people representing real patients and reveal your communication skills as well as clinical skills.
